Gramblings: 2008-05-25

Welcome!

I'm Gran'mare and those two fabulous faces above are my grand-daughters.."The Girls"...Beanz & Bou and these pages are all about our days together. You see, I am privileged enough to spend more time than the average G'mom with "The Girls" (2 in '08).

We have a funtabulous time together and hope you enjoy visiting us. Hopefully along the way you'll laugh a little, cry a little and learn a few things from a well seasoned G'mom & mother of 3.

I had hoped to start this shortly after their arrival mostly as a journal for myself but............
I will backtrack (as memory allows) to the beginning when Aunt Tissa & I hovered over Mama Baby and together we heard their heartbeats for the very first time...talk about slap happy!

"The Girls" get a New Kitchen!

The back of my family room belongs to "The Girls".
On one side is their kitchen (as yet unfinished)
On the other side I am working on another mural which I'll post later

Please ignore the cat..he looks like something the cat dragged in!
A direct result of "can't leave well enough alone"

I bought "food" from the craft store..much more realistic

Looks good enough to eat!

After seeing the incredibly high priced play food online, I decided to make my own.

Beans & Boo love their noodles
Felt strips come already in super long strips for around $1.50
They are for making no-sew quilts.
I just snip to size. One pkg. makes a lot of noodles.
Next I'm getting brown for wheat noodles.
